Workforce Development Center

The John Wood Community College Workforce Development Center is the newest addition to the institution’s many campuses. This facility is being developed to address the critical need for a well-trained, well-educated, regional workforce.

The center consists of a 30,000 square foot, state-of- the-art training center, situated on fourteen acres. Several “smart” classrooms, training labs, and computer labs will support activities within the WDC.

On the exterior grounds, a well-designed maneuvering range will support the college’s Truck Driver Training program. Visit the Truck Driver Training Program page.

In addition to the TDT program, other programs to be housed at the center will include; Manufacturing Technology, Welding Technology, Electrical Technology, Construction Technology, Computer-Aided Drafting, and several others currently under development.

The facility is also available to area businesses for customized and contract training, specific to their individual needs.
