- Kory Hollensteiner: Finding Confidence at John Wood Community College
Kory Hollensteiner is the Campus Pastor at The Crossing Church in Quincy, IL. He shares his personal story of how John Wood Community College played an integral role in shaping his life and preparing him for future endeavors.
He talks about his difficult first semester at another college and how he felt the need to return to Quincy, where he found a supportive community at JWCC. Kory highlights the personal relationships he formed with professors, the friendships he made, and the valuable experiences he had on the baseball team. His time at John Wood Community College gave him the foundation he needed to pursue his bachelor’s degree and a successful career in full-time ministry.
After returning to Quincy Kory felt the need to create a group dedicated to young adults. The Collective was created to provide young adults with a community of people that care about their growth and support them on a weekly basis.
