Nick Knuffman-Brewer’s journey began at John Wood Community College (JWCC), where he experienced a beautiful campus, cost-effective education, and seamless transfer to Western Illinois University. His involvement in extracurricular activities, including the Student Government Association and Phi Theta Kappa, along with the support from JWCC’s exceptional faculty and staff, were key to his success.
Now residing in Greater Peoria, Nick balances his professional life as the Associate Director of Human Resources at Simantel with his family life. His leadership at Simantel includes overseeing HR functions, driving employee experience, spearheading a wellness committee, and promoting diversity and inclusion. Nick’s dedication quickly advanced him from Associate HR Manager to his current role.
Simantel is a marketing agency that works with clients such as Quincy-based Knapheide Manufacturing, which keeps Nick even more connected to the place where his career started.
Reflecting on his time at JWCC, Nick says, “JWCC provided me with a solid foundation in leadership and teamwork that has been crucial in my professional life. The experiences and support I received there prepared me to excel in my career.”
