Sam was awarded the Mark Higley Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship has helped him financially and has given him more confidence in himself. Working at Quincy Industrial Painting for the past two summers he has gained hands-on experience in painting and industrial work, including demolition and construction. While taking business classes at John Wood Community College Sam is better prepared to start a business of his own. After his fathers passing Sam has been more motivated than ever to succeed. The lessons of his father continue to push him toward a better future. Sam’s message to others is that life is unpredictable, so it is important to take advantage of every opportunity you get.
