This class will introduce students to a sampling of welding, electricity, industrial maintenance, and truck driver training. Students will learn to run a plasma cutter as they cut, design, paint, and wire their own jack-o’- lantern out of a helium tank. On the final day of class, students will take a tour of a local manufacturing company to learn more about potential career opportunities. Each student will receive a JWCC t-shirt and pair of work gloves. This class is made possible through the Trade School Grant. Students are asked to wear appropriate clothing, including long pants, long sleeved shirt, and leather shoes or boots. *Class is located at the Workforce Development Center, 2710 North 42nd Street, Quincy.
