JWCC Blazer Pep Day

We’ve got spirit, how about you? Area high school Pep Band, Cheer, and Dance team members are invited to show off their skills and school pride at John Wood Community College’s Blazer Pep Day on Saturday, January 20, 2024. The event will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Pep Band members from across the tri-states are welcome to the JWCC Heath Fine Arts Center as one community band to practice pep pieces and play together at the JWCC Basketball games. Participants are asked to bring an instrument, water bottle, and folding music stand to workshop with the JWCC Pep Band.
Cheer and Dance Team members will practice an original routine together with JWCC squads and later perform in at JWCC men’s and women’s basketball games in the afternoon.
The schedule for the day includes a workshop or practice with respective JWCC groups from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., lunch from noon to 1 p.m. and game performances at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Participants will receive a free t-shirt, a complimentary tour of campus, and lunch.
This event is open to all high school students and is a great way to connect with JWCC music professors and cheer and dance coaches for future scholarships.
