We are looking for a creative, highly driven person to join our marketing team. As a Marketing Specialist, you will be assigned to a region of the U.S., where you will be responsible for assisting our Land Specialists in that region with the creation and implementation of their marketing campaigns throughout the year. Marketing campaigns consist of but are not limited to direct mail concepts, design and execution, local and regional ad placement, and social media strategy. The ideal candidate should live within daily commuting distance of our corporate office in Pittsfield, IL or be willing to relocate. However, we are open to considering remote employment for the right candidate.

The starting annual salary for this position ranges from $38,000-$40,000.

Requirements

Ability to communicate effectively with Land Specialists, sponsorship customers, and internal staff in a timely manner
Keep detailed and accurate records regarding Land Specialist marketing plans and budgets
Experience with copywriting and ad creative
Comfortable with speaking to a wide age range of individuals
Experience with a wide variety of electronic account setups
Organized and detail-oriented
Efficient at multitasking and working in a fast-paced workflow
Ability to professionally confront and address issues as they occur
Able to operate Mac and Microsoft operating systems fluently
Enjoys working in a team environment with positivity and high energy

Responsibilities

Assist in scheduling marketing meetings and ad postings
Work closely with the marketing manager, Land Specialists, and the design department on advertising initiatives and creative.
Write, edit, and distribute copy and ad messaging effectively and efficiently.
Effectively use the company’s digital business management tools
Assist in marketing research and analysis
Support marketing department with various other projects and duties as assigned

Qualifications

Relatable college degree or 2+ years of marketing related job experience
Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge and understanding of rural land sales and the outdoor lifestyle
Understanding of marketing concepts related to business startups
Enjoys a high-energy work environment and collaborates closely with department members with a passionate, creative, problem-solving approach
