Job Description

This is a part time instructor position in the Adult Education Department for classes in fall semester starting August 2024 in Pittsfield, IL.  This position is non-tenure track serving in a temporary or auxiliary capacity to teach specific courses on a course-by-course basis.

 

The instructor’s duties will be to teach Adult Basic Education and GED prep courses using instructional methods geared toward the learning needs of adult learners in a multi-skill level classroom setting. Responsibilities include planning lessons and curriculum to prepare students for high school equivalency testing and/or enhance basic education skills. Classes meet on Monday and Wednesday mornings in Pittsfield beginning August 19, 2024.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Adult Education Instructor position requires a bachelor’s degree. Prefer current teaching certification and experience teaching and/or working with adults.
