If you know a motivated individual aged 14-22, please share this post! We’re looking for four dynamic interns to help make this summer unforgettable at Quincy Children’s Museum!
Interns will have the chance to lead weekly programs, support our summer camp, participate in the rural summer library tour, attend Blues in the District, engage with Ready. Set. Grow., join @artsquincy summer events, and much more!
Interested candidates should submit their applications by the deadline of April 1, 2025.
The Quincy Children’s Museum is offering a paid 8-week summer internship opportunity, requiring a commitment of 8 hours per week from June to August. This internship is ideal for applicants with an interest or experience in Fine Arts, Art Education, Early Childhood Education, Museum Studies, or a related field.
Interns are expected to commit to the duration of the internship and should be flexible regarding their availability for various events, some of which may take place outdoors, and may include occasional evenings and weekends. Candidates should demonstrate a willingness to learn and engage with children through creative, educational activities in a safe and supportive environment. Previous expertise is not required.
To apply, please submit a complete application that includes a resume, your availability (including preferred start and end dates, as well as any anticipated time off), and a letter of introduction. Your letter should explain your interest in the internship, your future career aspirations, and any additional relevant information not covered in your resume.
Candidates should be enthusiastic and ready to embrace all of QCM’s core values, with a particular focus on creativity during this 8-week learning opportunity. We believe in building on the strengths, imaginations, and ideas of our visitors while creating opportunities for open-ended learning through play.
