Job Description

Firefighter Minimum Requirements:

• Must be a minimum of twenty-one (21) years of age to apply and cannot be 35 years of age or older at time of hire. (Unless exempt by state statute).
• S. Citizenship
• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Valid Driver’s License
• Illinois State Fire Marshal Certified Basic Firefighter or Firefighter II due at application deadline
• Successful completion of the Candidate Physical Ability Test with Ladder Climb Certification conducted by a licensed agency due at time of hire and dated within 1 year
• Current IDPH EMT-P (Paramedic) Certification due at time of hire
