Are you passionate about cooking and want to make a meaningful impact in your community? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate part-time Cook to join our team at The Salvation Army Emergency Shelter. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys creating delicious and nutritious meals and wants to help make a difference in the lives of our residents.
Rate of Pay: $15.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 1:00-6:00pm (occasional morning shifts to assist with the Food Pantry)

The Quincy Area Command serves Adams, Pike and Brown counties in Illinois and Marion, Ralls, Lewis, Shelby and Monroe counties in Missouri as well as transients who have come to our community and find themselves in a homeless situation. It is the goal of our program to equip our residents with the knowledge and life skills development needed to find employment and suitable, affordable housing that they might become self-sufficient individuals.
The Emergency Shelter can accommodate up to 20 people with rooms dedicated to single men and women as well as families. The building also includes our Family Services programs and Food Pantry/Breadline.
