Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) at Sunset Senior Living is responsible for providing high-quality care to our residents. The RN will oversee and coordinate nursing care, ensure compliance with healthcare standards, and act as a key resource for residents, families, and staff. This role requires a compassionate and skilled professional dedicated to enhancing the well-being and quality of life of our senior community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Resident Care: Deliver direct nursing care, including administering medications, managing treatments, and monitoring vital signs.
- Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents’ physical, mental, and emotional health, documenting findings and creating care plans.
- Care Planning: Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
- Medication Management: Oversee the administration of medications, ensuring accuracy, adherence to protocols, and proper documentation.
- Supervision: Lead and mentor LPNs, nursing assistants, and other support staff, ensuring they adhere to best practices and facility policies.
- Emergency Response: Provide prompt and effective care in medical emergencies, coordinating with other healthcare professionals as needed.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and changes in residents’ conditions.
- Communication: Facilitate clear and effective communication between residents, families, and the healthcare team, addressing concerns and providing education.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, facility policies, and standards of care.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance resident care.
