This is a full-time, 12-month, non-exempt position that reports to the Care Coach and is located on the JWCC campus in Quincy, Illinois.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Welcome Desk Specialist is essential for a caring atmosphere. The position will serve as the first point of contact with the primary duties of providing excellent customer service, answering phone/email/text inquiries, directing individuals to the appropriate locations and contacts, and ensuring a welcoming environment that provides information, support, and reflects the College’s commitment to customer service and our Caring Campus. The position will also perform basic data entry, assist with scheduling appointments, room scheduling, the making of JWCC id badges, and other office duties.
QUALIFICATIONS
A high school diploma is required, with an associate degree preferred. Two or more years of customer service experience in a fast-paced environment is preferred. Applicants must be proficient in Microsoft Office and have the ability to learn new database systems. Excellent communication skills (verbal and non-verbal), strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, to work independently and as a part of a team, and the ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality are required.
