Position Overview

The Division of Mental Health is seeking to hire an Office Coordinator for the Treatment and Detention Facility located in Rushville, Illinois to serve as the Facility Travel Coordinator. Serves as Property Control Coordinator. Utilizes various computer programs to design and maintain complex databases and spreadsheets; conducts annual inventory certification. Interprets travel policy and procedures for staff. Serves as liaison with approved vendors for copier repairs. Assists the maintenance department in inputting and keyboarding work orders into the tracking system. Serves as a back up to the mail room.

 

Essential Functions

  • Utilizes various computer programs to design and maintain complex databases and spreadsheets.
  • Serves as Property Control Coordinator.
  • Serves as the Facility Travel and Vehicle Coordinator.
  • Serves as liaison with approved vendors for copier repairs.
  • Assists the maintenance department in inputting and keyboarding work orders into the tracking system.
  • Serves as a back-up to the mail room.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to two (2) years of secretarial/business college or completion of high school and two (2) years of related office experience, or two (2) years of independent business experience.
  • Requires the ability to keyboard accurately at 30 wpm.

 

Conditions of Employment

  • Requires possession of a valid Class D driver’s license.
  • Requires the ability to travel in the performance of job duties.
  • Requires the ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Requires the ability to utilize office equipment, including personal computers and perform routine maintenance.
  • Requires ability to pass the IDHS background check.
  • Requires ability to pass a drug screen for drugs prohibited from recreational use under Illinois Law.
