Are you passionate about basketball and ready to bring your love of the game to the court? The Quincy Kroc Center is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Basketball Referees for our upcoming leagues. Whether you’re experienced or looking to break into officiating, this is your chance to make a positive impact while enjoying the excitement of community sports.

Rate of Pay: Starting at $16.00/hour (based on certification)

Responsibilities:

As a Basketball Referee for the Quincy Kroc Center, you will play a crucial role in ensuring fair play, sportsmanship, and an overall positive experience for our league participants. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Officiating basketball games in accordance with established rules and regulations.
  • Managing game flow, enforcing rules, and ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all participants.
  • Communicating effectively with players, coaches, and spectators to maintain a positive and respectful atmosphere.
  • Resolving disputes or conflicts on the court in a fair and impartial manner.

  • Collaborating with league organizers and fellow referees to ensure smooth operations.

What are We Looking For?

  • Basketball Enthusiast: A strong passion for the game and a solid grasp of its rules.
  • Experience: Prior refereeing experience is a bonus but not required—we value a can-do attitude!
  • Skills: Quick decision-making, excellent communication, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Availability: Must be able to work evenings and weekends during the league season.
