More than $750 Raised for Quanada

John Wood Community College freshman Drew Figge of Quincy was crowned Mr. John Wood in the fourth annual Mr. John Wood Pageant on February 28. Parker Arrowsmith of Loraine was named First Runner-Up and Isacc Doughart-Wood of Wentzville, Mo., was named Mr. Congeniality. People’s Choice winner was Todd Klingele of Liberty.

The pageant featured 10 contestants: Drew Figge, freshman from Quincy; Luke Jansen, freshman from Mendon; Clayton Dyer, freshman from Quincy; Bryce Bergman, freshman from Mt. Sterling; Parker Arrowsmith, sophomore from Loraine; Gio Garcia, sophomore from Okeechobee Fl.; Brennen Provine, sophomore of Quincy; Darius Thornton, freshman of Quincy; Isaac Doughart-Wood, freshman of Wentzville, Mo.; and Todd Klingele, freshman of Liberty.

The contestants were judged during their performance in formal wear, made possible by Schuecking’s Men’s Wear, sportswear and talent. The top three finalists, Figge, Arrowsmith and Klingele, were also judged on their responses to an on-stage question.

More than $750 was raised for Quanada through admission, concessions, and People’s Choice donations.
