JWCC Ag Alumni Sponsoring Golf Outing Fundraiser
John Wood Community College’s Agriculture Alumni Association will host its 23rd annual golf outing Friday, July 9, at Arrowhead Heights Golf Course in Camp Point, IL.
The event is both a social gathering and the primary fundraiser for the association. The funds from the event help support the JWCC Agricultural Sciences Program’s Invitational Livestock Judging Contest and Ag Sciences Open House. Alumni also provide direct support to students by providing scholarship awards, sponsoring Ag Club events, the PAS and Livestock Judging teams and the Women Changing the Face of Agriculture activities.
The 18-hole, flighted-competition with 4-person teams, will receive two mulligans per person, cart rental, green fees and a pork chop meal. The cost is $65 per player or $260 for a team. Teams will have the option to participate in skins (as a team) for an additional cost of $40. Registration occurs at 7:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. with a shotgun start, tee-off times of 7:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. The choice of morning or afternoon tee times will be on a first-come, first-choice basis.
Tournament and hole sponsors are also welcomed to assist with the fundraising activity. Tournament sponsors may provide supplies for meals, goody bags, prizes or naming opportunities. Hole sponsorship is $100 donation for a sign with company or sponsor logo.
To participate or support the event, contact the JWCC Agricultural Education Center at 217-236-4711, 217-641-4558 or ag@jwcc.edu, as soon as possible.
