JWCC Announces New Men’s Basketball Head Coach

Jonny Dahl, a preeminent athlete from Keokuk High School and John Wood Community College, brings substantial experience to a program where he once played for. He achieved accolades such as being named a second team 3A All-State Iowa Newspaper Association, the 2015 Southeast Conference Player of the Year. During his time at Keokuk, he earned recognition as a three-time All-Sub-State honoree and three-time All-Southeast Conference selection. Dahl continued his basketball career at Stephen F. Austin, Northern State, and John Wood Community College. He played under notable coaches such as Brad Underwood, currently the Head Coach at Illinois, Mike Boynton, now the Head Coach at Oklahoma State, Paul Sather, currently the Head Coach at North Dakota, and Sundace Wicks, now the Assistant Coach at Wyoming. These experiences have fueled Jonny’s passion to impart the knowledge he gained from these esteemed coaches to the next generation of players.

Dahl, currently serving as the 17U Boys Coach & Boys Director, brings a wealth of basketball experience to the program. With COH Elite he as built relationships with coaches both in our area and across the nation.

His connections in the region and across the country with next level coaches will help attract talent and help our players continue their basketball careers.”
