JWCC Displays Constitution Exhibits

JWCC main campus building
September 20, 2022

John Wood Community College is observing Constitution Week this week (Sept. 17-23). Saturday, September 17, was Constitution Day. This is a federal holiday commemorating the signing of the U.S. Constitution on September 17, 1787, which is the world’s longest surviving written charter of government.  This day commemorates the signing of the U.S. Constitution and recognizes all American citizens.

The college is hosting two displays on the Quincy campus giving honor to the historical day. The first display is in the library. The second display is courtesy of the Quincy Chapter of the Daughters of the Revolution located on the main floor.

We encourage all citizens to check out some of the great resources to help us learn more about our constitution on the United States Census Bureau’s website.
