Winner to Receive Full Tuition, Fees, and Books

Quincy, IL — John Wood Community College (JWCC) is proud to announce the launch of its 13th Annual Career Makeover Competition, a transformative opportunity for one deserving individual to achieve their educational and career goals. Applications are now being accepted at jwcc.edu/makeover.

Adults 21 years of age or older, who are not current or recent JWCC students, are eligible to apply. The selected winner will receive a scholarship from the JWCC Foundation covering up to 64 credit hours toward a degree or certificate program, including tuition, fees, and books.

“Through the Career Makeover, we empower adults to transform their lives through education,” said Barb Holthaus, Executive Director of the JWCC Foundation. “This competition highlights the life-changing impact of education and underscores our commitment to community advancement.”

The application deadline is March 11, 2025. Applicants can visit the website to access contest rules, eligibility criteria, and the application process. Individuals without internet access may pick up a paper application at JWCC or WGEM.
