QUINCY, IL – John Wood Community College will host Career Technical: Find Your Path Day, an interactive event designed to introduce students and parents to career and technical education opportunities that prepare graduates for in-demand careers. The event will take place at the JWCC Workforce Development Center, March 5, 9:30AM – 1:30PM; providing attendees with insights into career opportunities and the necessary skills and training programs.
Career Tech: Find Your Path Day offers prospective students the opportunity to:
- Experience hands-on learning in technical fields with industry-aligned training.
- Engage with expert instructors who provide real-world insights and career guidance.
- Explore a variety of technical career paths that lead to high-demand, well-paying jobs.
- Learn about paid work experience programs, such as FAME, that allow students to earn while they learn.
- Career Speed Matching, from industry professionals in various fields to explore career tech options.
JWCC’s career technical programs are designed to equip students with the skills and training necessary for immediate workforce entry or career advancement. This includes short-term, hands-on programs ranging from six weeks to two years.
