A Google for Local Businesses class will be offered by John Wood Community College’s Business and Industry Training on Tuesday, October 27, from 9:00 a.m. to noon. The class is open to the public, no application is necessary, but individuals are required to make a reservation to attend.  The class will take place at JWCC’s Workforce Development Center, located at 4220 Kochs Lane, Quincy.

This workshop will show participants how to get Google to showcase their local business, send customers ready to purchase and improve referrals. Students will learn about the free or low-cost tools and services Google offers for local businesses and will see real-world examples of what’s working today. Participants will leave with a one-page checklist to jumpstart their Google marketing efforts.

The course will be presented by Andrew Skattebo with BrickStreet Data Systems. Participants will be asked to wear face coverings and social distancing will be maintained. The cost is $50 per person. For more information or to RSVP, contact the Workforce Development Center at 217-641-4971, or email wdc@jwcc.edu.
