John Wood Community College’s Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society is hosting a virtual 5K run/walk to support Golden Opportunity scholarships. The PTK Scholar Dash 5K may be completed between September 15-30. Participants can choose their own course and pace, and may create a fundraising page or team for donations towards the scholarships. A safe route will also be available at the Quincy campus located at 1301 S. 48th Street on Saturday and Sunday, September 19 and 20, between 7am and 7pm.
Golden Opportunity scholarships are designed to increase access to the benefits of membership by helping students join PTK when they cannot afford it. Membership in PTK increases students’ chances of reaching their educational goals.
