John Wood Community College will offer an OSHA 10 Construction Industry training class on two days, Wednesday, February 3, and Thursday, February 4, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. each day. The class is open to the public, no application is necessary, but individuals are required to make a reservation to attend. It will take place at JWCC’s Workforce Development Center, 4220 Kochs Lane, Quincy.

This course is designed for construction workers, foremen, job supervisors and anyone involved in the construction industry. OSHA recommends the 10-Hour Construction Industry training program as an orientation to occupational safety and health for workers covered by OSHA 29 CFR 1926. Workers must receive additional training, when required by OSHA standards, on the specific hazards of the job. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive an OSHA 10-Hour Construction Industry completion card. The course will be taught by an OSHA Outreach Authorized Trainer.

Participants will be required to wear face coverings and social distancing will be maintained. The cost of the course is $175 per person. Students should register a minimum of two business days prior to the class.
