Registration is Open for OSHA General Industry Course at JWCC
John Wood Community College Workforce Development Center will offer an OSHA 10 General Industry (Occupational Safety and Health Act) training class. The class will meet on two days, Wednesday, March 29, and Thursday, March 30, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
The class is open to the public and no application is necessary. Individuals are required to make a reservation to attend. It will take place at JWCC’s Workforce Development Center, 2710 North 42nd Street, Quincy.
The class will provide information to entry-level general industry workers about their rights, employer responsibilities, and how to identify, abate, avoid and prevent job-related hazards on a job site. The course will offer resources and tools to create or enhance an effective safety and health management system, review the OSHA Act, and highlight many key General Industry Safety and Health Standards. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive an OSHA 10-Hour General Industry completion card. An OSHA Outreach Authorized Trainer will teach the class.
