Soudavahn named Mr. John Wood

Freshman receives Mr. John Wood crown

John Wood Community College freshman Raymond Soudavahn of Quincy was crowned Mr. John Wood in the third annual Mr. John Wood Pageant on February 15. Carter Cramsey of Quincy was named First Runner-Up and Mr. Congeniality. People’s Choice winner was Reed Tate of Liberty.

The pageant featured eight contestants: Sam Brinkman, sophomore of Payson; Seth Rochelle, freshman of Liberty; Reed Tate, sophomore of Liberty; Austin Owen, sophomore of Bowen; Carter Cramsey, sophomore of Quincy; Brent Tweedy, sophomore of Kahoka, Mo., Devin Balzer, sophomore of Camp Point; and Raymond Soudavahn, freshman of Quincy.

The contestants were judged during their performance in formal wear, made possible by Schuecking’s Men’s Wear, sportswear and talent. The top three finalists, Soudavahn, Cramsey and Tate, were also judged on their responses to an on-stage question.

More than $700 was raised for Quanada through admission, concessions and People’s Choice donations.
